The purpose of PAT test is to create and maintain a safe working environment. Portable appliance testing (PAT) is the term used to describe the examination of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use. Inspections are mandatory and carried out on a yearly basis, to demonstrate that you meet the NEN standards and requirements.
